Apparently this month is #cesareanawarenessmonth …I never shared these photos because a C-section so was not my plan. I fought like hell for 51 hours not to end up in the OR…and yet, I did.
And 8 months later, I can tell you, it does matter when your birth plan doesn’t go to plan and it’s hard and disappointing and I even have dreams where I don’t have a surgical birth, but I can also say that now—I don’t care. I don’t care how he got here. I care that I hold him in my arms every day. I care that I’ve been blessed with being able to breastfeed him. I care that I got to watch my husband show up for me in one of the scariest moments of my life. So, if you’re out there like I once was feeling like ending up on the OR table is the worst case scenario, I can promise you as soon as you hold your baby, it will matter, but one day you won’t care anymore how they got here, just that they did. ❤️

8 months of our T ❤️ every day gets more fun as your personality shines through. You smile at everyone you see, make the silliest faces, have a laugh that I’m pretty sure could bring about world peace and you melt our hearts and astound us every day. Shoutout to Grandpa for helping me go on my first business trip since T was born. So much of my day to day couldn’t happen without you and we love you!!!!
7 months?!? Our little Boodles is the biggest ham, loves to laugh, has four teeth, been on one road trip and 6 plane flights, and loves to snuggle (when he’s tired…otherwise he’s running nonstop)❤️
Watching T explore the world and finding his personality is perhaps the greatest thing we’ve experienced thus far in our lives. And I know this is just the beginning…

As we celebrate Parents' Day, and the first one where I'm really reflecting on how I want to be as a parent, I am reminded of the immense gratitude I have for my two dads, who have been a constant source of love, support, and guidance throughout my life 💝
They have taught me the importance of acceptance, compassion, and resilience, and have shown me that family is not defined by biology, but by the bonds we create with those we love.
